We decided to have a New Years Eve part this year. Of course my well laid plan didn't go exactly as I expected, but we still had a lot of fun. First we made and decorated sugar cookies.
This idea I found on Pinterest. You take your leftover wrapping paper and make a huge ball with prizes wrapped throughout. Each person takes turns ripping into the paper while another person rolls a dice. When the dice lands on a certain number the dice and ball pass. It ended too quickly...should have used more tape:)
We then played some minute to win it games. This game involved putting a pair of panty hose on your head with a ball in one leg. You then try to hit over as many cups as you can. It was quite entertaining to watch.
It snowed so of course we too a break to play in the snow...no shoes of course for the kids...I mean snow isn't cold or anything...right?
This game was keeping a balloon in the air with a fly swatter.
Of course what is a new year's party without party hats:) Emily was upset because she didn't win the fancy hat Derek is wearing.
Darrell was the only one who was able to finish this game. The object was to get all the cups to stack together as you pull out the notecards. I was quite impressed:)
