Can't Find Enough Lizards

Fool's Gold

On the same trip to Prescott we of course stopped to go rock hounding.  This old mine was one with tons of fool's gold.  The kids love finding rocks with their dad.  I enjoy reading a book in the car while they find rocks:)

 

Charlotte Hall Museum

In Prescott there is a museum called "The Charlotte Hall Museum."  They had an event with several activities showing what life was like back in the 1800s.  

These were just creatures the kids found while waiting for the museum to open:)

There is  park near by that we relaxed in until the museum opened.  We got there a little early to get good parking.

 

This was a re-inactment of a shoot out.  It was pretty funny, although the kids were hot in the sun and the sound was quite loud.

Rainy Day

We don't get rain often, so when we do it is wonderful:)  A couple months we had a day when the rain kept falling and falling and falling.  The kids had a blast.

The kids like to play with the umbrellas any chance they get. 

...and of course we can't forget to fill up every container we own with rain water.

Derek enjoyed a bike ride in the rain.

While on his bike ride, Derek found the park was full of water.  So we drove down and the kids ran around in the water while I stayed in the car taking pictures:)

In there adventures at the park, Derek found a wounded bird or maybe it was just tired from flying in the rain.

Derek Dad Trip

Derek and Darrell took a trip together up to Snowflake one weekend.  They stopped to look for rocks on the way up and had a great time together.
