Splash Park

My sister recently had a baby and one day I watched her daughter Payton for her.  We went to a splash park to play in the water.  My niece is so cute so I took a few pictures of her and my kids.

Sahuaro Ranch Park or as my kids call it the Chicken Park.  We took a little time and went to the park to play and had a fun time.  The kids always love going to see the chickens and peacocks.

This little 3 ring toy spins around.  Darrell spun them all around as fast as they could go.  They love to get dizzy...I have no idea why.

July 4th 2012

Katy and Matt brought dinner over on the 4th of July.  It was delicious and we had a great time.

Lake Powell 2012

Another enjoyable year at Lake Powell.  The water was nice and the company wonderful!

Emily was a little fish this year again and loved being in the water whenever possible.

Derek of course is the explorer.

Jeannie as "The Little Mermaid"

This nap ended up being almost 3 hours long...she was a tired little girl.

I went with Derek one evening an a walk.  He was hunting for lizards.  Jade would find them and then Derek would try and capture them.  Unfortunately at one point Jade captured one in her teeth...Derek was not happy about that.

One afternoon Gary took us on a boat ride to a canyon.  It was relaxing and gorgeous.  The kids swam out to the rock and stood on it.

This is everyone in the water after getting off the boat to explore a narrow opening in the canyon.

After getting out to explore they had a hard time swimming back to us and the boat kept drifting away.  So we threw a rope out to them and they hung on while the boat was backed out of the opening.

Emily wanted to do a talent but then froze:) So grandpa helped out by dancing with her.

Derek's talent was having a Jedi light saber battle with Carter.

It is soooo difficult trying to catch Derek jumping off the house boat in a picture.  I only got bits and pieces of him:)
