Another Zoo Trip...with Cousins

The kids have been begging me constantly to go again to the zoo.  The weather has been nice so we set the date.  My sister and brother's families came, so we had a nice time with cousins.  There was a baby zebra, and the kids loved watching it run around.

One of my favorite exhibits at the zoo is the orangutan enclosure.  This orangutan was funny.  It was sitting in the sun, holding a palm leave over it's head to be in the shade.

Resident Retreat

Every year Darrell's residency program has an overnight retreat.  Families can attend also.  Derek was the only one to go last time, but this time we all did.  Most of the residents don't have families and they stay overnight in cabins at the YMCA camp in Prescott.  We stayed in a hotel instead which was nice.  We have stayed there before and the kids love the indoor swimming pool.

Yes, Emily is upside down hanging by her feet in a tree.  The kids found a rope and Darrell strung them up in the tree.  They thought it was soooooo fun:)

At this camp they had "high ropes."  Basically logs or ropes up high that you walk on.  Derek went 2 times.  He loved it.  One of the residents in Darrell's program pretty much wouldn't take no for an answer and so Darrell went up.  It was quite high...I did not go up.

I was experimenting with my camera and forgot to change one of the settings, so the color is off in many of the pictures.  So even though the above 2 pictures didn't turn out very good color wise, I just loved the pictures.

Darrell and Sarah Temple Visit

During a visit to Snowflake, Sarah got sick right before church and so Darrell stayed at the house with her.  They took a little trip to the temple, because she was feeling better.  Darrell was experimenting with the new lenses he bought me for Christmas and took several good pictures.  These are just a few of them.
